Convergence

Responsibilities

• Management of the Objective 1 Secretariat
• Provision of advice on the Objective 1 programme and the eligibility of projects
• Provide secretariat support to the Carmarthenshire Regeneration Partnership and associated working groups

Rural Development Plan

Responsibilities

• Facilitating and supporting the successful delivery of the Rural Development Plan (RDP) in Carmarthenshire between 2007-13
• Ensuring the successful delivery and financial management of approved RDP projects
• Monitoring and evaluating the current Business Plan
• Developing new projects for the 2011-13 period

Responsibilities

• To assist in identifying and promoting external funding opportunities for Carmarthenshire County Council
• To support the development of a central support system for external funding and to disseminate intelligence via existing and new channels
• To provide a supporting role for the Funding Internal Group in order to assist in stimulating strategic and co-ordinated authority bids
• To assist in the development of authority bids in order to maximise funding opportunities
• To support the provision of an early advice mechanism on funding opportunities available
