Green Seas Initiative - tenders requested
Pembrokeshire County Council has issued a tender notice for the Green Seas Initiative. In summary, funding can be considered for: visitor management and conservation issues, the provision/improvement of appropriate infrastructure or facilities and improvements to the coastal environment such as access, parking, facilities, recycling, toilets, amenities, information and interpretation. There is £422,000 ERDF available to support projects throughout the South & South West Wales region. The closing date for tenders is 16th Feb 2011 at 3.00pm

Rural Development Plan 2007 – 2013 - Tendered Projects
Carmarthenshire County Council has secured £8million funding from the second phase of the RDP 2007 – 2013, which is funded by the Welsh Assembly Government and European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development. Three of the below mentioned projects will be tendered. Supporting Farmers to Diversify
The purpose of this tender is to appoint a suitable organisation to deliver the ‘Supporting Farmers to Diversify’ grant scheme in rural wards of Carmarthenshire on behalf of the Carmarthenshire Partnership – Grŵp Cefn Gwlad and the Lead Body. This project will broaden the economic base of rural Carmarthenshire whilst safeguarding the future of farming families by maintaining and increasing the income of farm households; and retaining young people in the farming industry by helping them to develop alternative sources of income and alternative employment opportunities.
The maximum total contract value is £242,522 which is inclusive of match funding. There is a minimum requirement for the supplier to contribute 20.083% match funding towards the total contract cost.

Strengthening the Tourism Appeal for Rural Carmarthenshire
The purpose of this tender is to appoint a suitable organisation to deliver the ‘Strengthening the Tourism Appeal of Rural Carmarthenshire’ grant scheme on behalf of the Carmarthenshire Partnership - Grŵp Cefn Gwlad and the Lead Body. This project will strengthen the identity of rural Carmarthenshire as an all year round, quality tourist destination by improving the quality of the existing tourism product through the provision of financial support. It will assist in extending the season and promote Carmarthenshire as an all year round quality tourist destination, safeguard existing and create new employment opportunities within the tourism sector.
The maximum total contract value is £242,522 which is inclusive of match funding. There is a minimum requirement for the supplier to contribute 20.083% match funding towards the total contract cost.

Darganfod Sir Gâr
The purpose of this tender is to appoint a suitable organisation to deliver the ‘Darganfod Sir Gâr’ grant scheme in rural wards of Carmarthenshire on behalf of the Carmarthenshire Partnership – Grwp Cefn Gwlad and the Lead Body. This project will strengthen the identity of rural Carmarthenshire as a place to live and visit by promoting the distinctiveness of rural communities by conserving the rural heritage and culture of rural Carmarthenshire, protecting and enhancing the area’s natural environment through protecting the area’s biodiversity and improving the quality of life for rural communities.
The maximum total contract value is £384,311 which is inclusive of match funding. There is a minimum requirement for the supplier to contribute 26.2% match funding towards the total contract cost.
